Funding Requests

Instructions for submitting a Letter of Intent:

Letters of Intent for one time projects, or request for support, and projects that have not received funding from the Community Mental Health Board in the recent past--should be submitted in the form of a letter detailing the identified need, the proposed objective and the amount being requested. If we determine that the Letter of Intent fits our funding priorities, and if resources are available, we will request a full proposal. Before preparing a letter of Intent, please review our Funding Guidelines found on our Website. Letters of Intent should be sent to Avis Rudner, Director of Administrative Services at arudner@cmhb-oakpark.org.

Application Process:

Those interested in submitting a proposal to the Community Mental Health Board should enter an application via mail no later than September 14th of that year. Application forms are available for download below. We prefer that a responsible officer from the applying organization with intimate knowledge of the program fill out the application. Inquiries submitted via any other channel will not be considered.

Supplemental Materials:

We are unable to review any supplemental materials accompanying your proposal submission, such as books, videos, cassettes, etc. Please do not send any materials beyond those specifically requested by the Community Mental Health Board.

Acknowledgement:

After submitting your application through mail, you should receive a response acknowledging receipt of your application by phone or e-mail. Due to the large volume of inquiries we receive, we are unable to provide you with any additional updates on the status of your application. You will be contacted via email or by phone ONLY if your project is selected for further consideration, we will proceed for a grant hearing and/or negotiate a contract. Please do not contact the Community Mental Health Board asking for an update on our review process.

Deadline for all applications is September 14th of any year. Applications received after this date will not be considered. Special circumstances can be made with prior approval.
